About me
Katie grew up in Kansas City where she attended the local Jewish day school, Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy. After graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Communication she re-located to Chicago. After college, Katie began her career at Harpo Productions working in the on-air marketing department for The Oprah Winfrey Show. Katie was a Senior Supervising Producer when Harpo closed its doors in 2015 and has been freelancing since then. As a writer/producer Katie has been working with clients such as the Oprah Winfrey Network, United Airlines, McDonalds as well as on her own projects through her LLC, Kid 3 Productions.Katie currently serves on the executive committee for JUF, the JUF Board, chairs the USHMM Midwest Next Gen board and participates in Jewish Women’s Foundation. She is also an active member of the parents association of The Latin School. Katie lives in Chicago with her husband J.R. and children Max, James and Louie.
