OPTIONAL Hike and the Long View
Monday August 3, 2026 3:30pm - 5:00pm MDT
Meet in the lobby by 3:30 sharp with your weather and hiking paraphernalia (snacks provided, please bring your own water, sunscreen, hats, glasses, etc). We will shuttle 5 minutes over to the Rim Trail South. The hike is an out and back totaling 3.98 miles, and with a total elevation gain of 767 feet - usually defined as a moderate hike. Up will take us about  45 minutes to an hour, and down about 30 - 40 minutes. Which will give us at least 30 minutes to learn with Rabbi Jay Moses once at the top, a perfect place to think about the nexus between heaven and earth and our new name "SULAM" (commonly translated as ladder from the only place where the word appears in the Torah: Jacob's dream of the angels ascending and descending).
