About me
Christie is a hematologist/oncologist specializing in malignant hematology, stem cell transplant and cellular therapy, and testicular cancer at Providence Cancer Institute. Christie grew up in Western Colorado and went on to receive a BA from Barnard College in 1996 and a DO from Midwestern University - Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. She completed internal medicine residency at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City in 2005. During residency, she completed Derekh Torah at the 92nd St. Y. She completed hematology/oncology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in 2008. She is the mother of 10 year old twins Elena and Thomas. Christie and her family are active congregants at Congregation Beth Israel in Portland, Oregon where she is a member of the Board of Trustees and the education committee. During the pandemic, she became a member of B'nai Jeshurun in New York to take advantage of the time change and fulfill a long term goal of being able to attend daily morning minyan.
